Woman Shot Multiple Times Inside of a Vehicle

Seattle Police Officers responded to a shooting that occurred near Lakewood Marina in South Seattle, Monday morning.

At approximately 12:10 a.m., 911 received calls reporting gunfire near the 3000-4000 block of Lake Washington Boulevard S, and people screaming.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 23-year-old woman inside of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She and her friends were parked when their vehicle was shot at.

No other victims were injured. The suspect(s) fled the area in another vehicle, and it was not located.

EMT trained officers arrived on scene and provided emergency medical aid to the victim. The Seattle Fire Department also arrived and continued life-saving efforts.

The woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition; and is now in stable condition.

Officers processed the vehicle and located evidence of a shooting. Multiple shell casings were located in two separate locations.

The circumstances involving this shooting are unknown at this time. Detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will be leading the investigation.
