HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A person has been arrested after a welfare check ended in a homicide investigation in Hanford, the Kings County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies say they responded to a home in the 8500 block of Curtis Street in Hanford Friday morning for a welfare check.
Upon arrival, sheriff's officials say an investigation began into the circumstances surrounding a suspected homicide. The sole suspect believed to be responsible for the incident was arrested at the scene.
The identities of the suspect and the victim in this case have not been released.
This is an ongoing investigation. The sheriff's office says there is no threat to the public.
