2 injured after Winton drive-by shooting

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man and a woman were shot in Winton on Wednesday night, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say they were dispatched to the intersection of Cypress and Paige avenues in Winton for reports of a drive-by shooting. Merced Police officers also responded and located a vehicle in the area of Yosemite Avenue and M Street with two gunshot victims inside. 

Both victims were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
