Woman shot in West Seattle Neighborhood

Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting in West Seattle that left one female deceased.

Shortly after 1:00 pm., 911 Dispatch received reports of a shooting in the 4400 block of Southwest Hudson Street.

Police arrived and found 57-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso area. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. The woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Homicide Unit detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. The public is in no immediate danger.
