Update: Detectives Arrest Man for Homicide in South Seattle

UPDATE: 10/30/2024 at 9:12 p.m.

Detectives have arrested a 19-year-old male linked to a homicide from July 28th.

A 34-year-old man was shot to death shortly before 4:30 a.m., in the 2300 block of 25th Avenue South.  

On October 29th, the suspect was located and arrested in Tacoma, Washington.   

He was booked into King County Jail, for investigation of murder.

Detectives Investigate Homicide in South Seattle

Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man deceased early Sunday morning in South Seattle neighborhood.

Shortly before 4:30 a.m., Dispatch (CARE) received a report of a shooting around 25th Avenue South and South College Street. 

Police arrived and located a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers attempted life-saving measures until Seattle Fire Department arrived. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The circumstances that led up to the shooting are unknown at this time.

Members of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit and Homicide detectives responded to the scene. 

The Homicide Unit will be working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
